This policy explains what cookies we use, why, and how to control them. We have deliberately minimized cookie use on this site. Every cookie we set is strictly necessary to operate the service.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Some last only for the duration of your visit (session cookies). Others persist between visits (persistent cookies). We use both, but only where strictly necessary.
What We Set

All three are strictly necessary. The site will not function correctly without them for logged-in users. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
What We Do Not Set
We use PostHog for analytics, but PostHog is configured in cookieless mode (persistence: 'memory'). It tracks anonymized page views and product usage within a single session, then forgets you when the tab closes. No PostHog cookie is set on your device.
We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, social media cookies, third-party advertising networks, or any persistent analytics identifiers.
Because we set only strictly necessary cookies, this site does not display a cookie consent banner. None is required.
Your Control
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
If you block essential cookies (Supabase, Paddle, Sentry), you will not be able to log in or complete a purchase, and we will lose visibility into errors that may affect your session. The public pages (landing, essays) remain accessible.
Changes
We will update this policy if we add or remove cookies. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
